Hey, there! I'm Lauren, a tattoo artist here at Steele Ink! (@grampstattoos on Instagram). I first started here October of '22, and have been loving it ever since!
I've got history in the fine arts. I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2020 with a B.F.A. in Studio Art (emphasis in painting) with a minor in Art History, and have since participated in numerous gallery shows. I also explore other mediums like ceramics, both functional wheel thrown forms and expressive sculptures. My desire to explore other mediums led me here to tattooing, and it's been really fun to learn such different skills!
Outside of art, I love outdoor adventure! In 2022, I spent 6 months hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, a long distance trail from Mexico to Canada, where I earned the trail name "Grandpa".
I have a particular interest in expressive lines and soft shading, but I'm down to work on just about anything! The most important thing for me is creating an environment that my clients feel comfortable, whether you're a first timer or a tattoo vet!
